    Default Broken leg

I have a Grey Tree frog that has a broken leg. I know for a fact it's broken. Is there anything I can do??? It's a wc frog. I've had it for about 3 mo or so now. It is a back leg and pretty much at the hip joint. My husband was closing the lid to the tank and caught the frogs leg. I put it in a critter keeper with moist paper towels. It has climbe to the top and it's leg is just hanging. I feel so bad. What can I do for it???

Sorry to hear about your frog's broken leg. You need to isolate the frog and get to the vet ASAP or to a wildlife rehab center. It is very unlikely the frog will be able to heal itself. You may want to swab the wound with Bactine, that will help prevent bacterial infection. The only other option would be to euthanize the frog

Well the vet tech finally called me back. She told me beings there's a game going on at the college, that the school is closed for the day. And that it would cost almost $200 just for a walk in today. But she said that I could try to take some gauze and tie the frogs leg to it's body for support and try to get it to eat. And that it would be a lot cheaper to wait until Monday because it would be cheaper. So that is my option as of right now. If anyone has any other advice, I'd gladly take it. Thanks guys.

That's another thing. What's weird is that there isn't any open wounds. No skin tearing, no holes from the bone snapping. Nothing........

Is it possible that the leg is pulled out of socket? I'm sorry about your frog, I hope it's doing better soon...

Wow, that's some serious swelling. The surgery to fix it will be pretty invasive, and probably very expensive.
