Hey guys,
I was about to make an order, and I was wondering if this mite spray (Natural Chemistry Mite Spray (8oz) - Mite Spray | Josh's Frogs) on paper towels (as instructed by Josh's Frogs) would work on keeping the mites out of my cultures. I am afraid of mites ruining more of my cultures. I wouldn't know if this would be enough, but shipping is certainly enough that I don't want to have to worry about the little buggers killing off all my cultures again.
I have heard many good things about mite-paper, but I haven't been able to find it. I am not sure where to purchase it. If the spray will work just as well, than I would rather use the spray (and not pay extra shipping), but otherwise I guess I can pick up some mite paper if someone would post where I can find them. Any other tips or advice concerning mite prevention or topics closely related would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!
MeTree,
The mite paper is much better than the sprays in my experience anyway although Ive never used that particular spray before.
Its a real struggle to get the paper in the UK too. I did find this US supplier tho:

An alternative is placing your cultures in shallow trays of water with a couple drops of washing up liquid
0.0.2 Ceratophrys cranwelli
0.0.3 Dendrobates azureus
0.0.4 Dendrobates tinctorius "Alanis" (tads)
3.3.0 Epipedobates anthonyi (+tads!)
0.0.1 Lepidobatrachus laevis
0.0.4 Pyllobates terribilis
0.0.3 Ranitomeya imitator "Chazuta"
0.0.3 Ranitomeya vanzolini
0.0.6 Xenopus laevis
I get my mite paper from Welcome to Black Jungle Terrarium Supply - The Natural Choice!
