Haha! You're not kidding! I'm not real fond of crickets, but I've gotten used to them over time. Esp when having to clean out the cricket keeper.

I used to have 4 firebelly toads, two red spotted salamanders, and a WC bufo toad. They ate a lot of crickets.

    Nutritional Facts
Caudata Culture Articles - Nutritional Values

These are two good articles showing the nutritional value of Dubias (in the second link i'm assuming american roaches are similar?) to other food sources, including crickets.

Nice. Thank you! I'll check it out. Likely tomorrow though. My eyes are all fuzzy from bouncing from screen to screen and being sleepy, ha ha! It definitely sounds like a great option for my baby. I scrolled through the Internet earlier too. Good things mentioned there also .

No problem on the response time. It seems we have three conversations going on at the same time, lol! I'm just trying to keep up .

Penn State Behrend is here where is live. A lot of people who live here start here for their minors and then transfer to main campus to finish. Gannon is here also.

ahh ok i know where you're at about. Hazleton campus is the same way (most smaller campuses are) but they had my 4 year major at hazleton. Doing it there was cheaper, closer to home (and my frogs ) and it was the same degree regardless of which campus i went to.

    Yep. Same as here.

I actually went to nursing school through our hospital but had classes through Gannon. Worked out nicely.

Just want to chime in and tell Heather that yes, you can absolutely feed RETF with dubias. I actually really recommend them over crickets any day of the week for RETF (and probably every animal ).
When you have a good colony, you have roaches in every size between 2 mm and 10 cm, so finding the right size should not be a problem.

I also want to say that an actually aquarium tank seems like overdoing it quite a bit. A plastic container is more than enough to breed these little great feeders.
Also, there are many threads about dubias and breeding them here, where some of them are quite long. Just do a quick search and I'm sure you'll find everything you need to know about these great feeders.
