Also, I do know they are coming with a 10 gallon, but that seems a tad small for 5 tree frogs? What would the proper sized aquarium be for 5?

Hey Amber & welcome. Rule of thumb is 1 frog = 10 gal so you're looking at 50 gal for the 5. Ouch, I know, but you can always pick up some good deals on used tanks via Goodwill, craigslist and Petco sales. If I'm not being to pushy, where are they coming from?

    Congrats on the new frogs!

10 gallons is shamefully small for 5 of these guys, so I'm glad they've found a new and more caring owner.

You'll find the usual recommendation is to not mix species, so you could also consider getting a couple tanks and splitting them up. I've heard of people keeping these two species together successfully for many years, but I wouldn't do it myself without a honking big enclosure, like the kind I could fit in myself. Besides, having 2 vivariums is surely twice as much fun as having 1.

ps.the colour on that centre bright green one is gorgeous.

Yup, I would have 2 tanks. It'll be a lot easier also to keep track of who is eating how much. I love native frogs & toads.

Pretty frogs! Have you decided on how you're going to house them ?

True, it will be much easier finding a 20 and a 30 gallon tank for a good deal than a 50
Your frogs are gorgeous! I'm glad you saved them fom that tiny 10 gal
