    Hi Kurt

I've done a bit of googling and Levacol is a brand name for Levasimole that is targeted specifically at dartftog keepers in europe.

It is a popular treatment for roundworm and parasites in swine and is quite widely used and recommended on European Amphib websites.

Can't work out how it works though - presumably absorbed through the skin?

It only treats worms (nematode, trematode or otherwise). You still need to treat for protozoa.

    Thanks John

Do you recommend the same stuff as Kurt for Protazoa treatment?

I do too. I'm still trying to think of a name. So far on my list is Viking.

Very nice! I've always been fascinated by these fellows since I first saw them in person about 10 years ago.

    Viking in Malay is boring.

But I'm enjoying the translator. Thanks. Hopefully I'll find a name soon.

    Mealworms good for these guys?

Have you guys had any problems hand-feeding your leaf frogs worms?

I'm a little worried that I haven't seen my guy eating yet. When I brought him home and had him in the kritter keeper while I got his tank ready (because of how late I got home, he actually spent overnight in that kritter keeper), I threw in 2 crickets. He didn't eat them. When I put him in his home though, I only found one cricket, and no trace of the other. A few days later, I can't find the other cricket, but that's not a definite sign the frog ate it. So I tried a mealworm, and he wouldn't take it from my hand, so I put it on a leaf next to him, and after a minute he hopped away. I guess he could just be shy about being seen eating.

Just watch for other signs of bad health. Like his eyes and loss of weight.

So I got crickets that were a little larger and threw two in there. My new leaf frog ate them both, quickly. And it was the greatest thing to watch. I loved watching his eyes close when he ate.
