This may be the dumbest question ever, but I have a California Baja Tree Frog. "He" never seemed to both with the water, but today he was just wading in it. I got a little nervous, so I stuck my hand in and eventually he got out. Tonight again he was just wading in it, legs spread out. He stayed in there for maybe an hour. He was with 3 others up until yesterday night, which is another story entirely, so....is there any possibility that maybe He is a she and she's laying eggs or something? I didn't know where to put this post so....hope it's okay here. Pardon my ignorance.
Do you have other frogs in the tank with him/her? and has he croaked before?
I would think this is just normal soaking. Most tree frogs come down at night and soak in the water, that's how they "drink".
oh okay, i've just never seen any of mine do this. He wadded in there this morning and tonight again too.....yes he was with other frogs, and no I've never heard him croak.
