Default Parental Care (NOT NAT GEO)

Just a quick vid of parental care of tadpoles by male AFBs. A little bit of a different point of view.

nice! so glad to see giant africans still alive and well. I heard people eat them down there and are building all over their land. So sad because those Wilds look so much better than the captives out here.

Man, I would kill to be able to get into that situation. Such a cool video, thanks for sharing.

@Chomp Yes, I've heard that some of the Natives living there do consider them a delicacy, although that may just be some misinformation. I don't doubt that they do often get killed down there from time to time as most wild animals would in a third world country. Not so sure about land development, but for the most part their industrial development is pretty rural so can't see them going extinct any time soon. Hopefully it never does happen and they will leave some pieces of that land protected.

Here is a cool fact for you about GAFs. After the breeding ritual and all the tadpoles hatch. One male Pyxie stays behind to protect not just his own spawn but everyone elses too. He will actually dig trenches for water to flow into so the tads don't die if the pool they are in starts to dry out. Connecting the drying pool to the large pool to save the tads. AGF a devoted father/babysitter Lol!
