Hey everyone I have 2 males right now that I beleive are pretty ill with it possibily being edema but I am not sure because I am new to frog raising.
One is swollen under its left eye and the other is swollen on its left side above its arm. The room they are kept in is kept at a pretty constant temp of 74-78 degrees F.
Here are some pics of the two frogs. Each frog is kept in different enclosures also (One is mine and the other is my friends).
If you have any idea of what this could possibly be then please go ahead and tell me. Any advice is appreciated or please let me know what I should do.
I am new to this and pretty worried about these little guys.
Thanks
Jake
Does anybody have an idea about what I should do?!
I think they need to be taken to a herp vet. It could be some kind of parasite or who knows what.
Ok thanks. I'm taking them to a vet today! Hopefully they will be able to help out and cure them.
Keep us posted!
The vet said that the second one had a tomber and was solid all the way through. Not much could be done except maybe surgey. The other day when I woke up I am sad to say that he didn't make it.
The frog with the thing around his eye looks to be healing up on its own. I hope that he can make!
Sorry to hear of your loss Roalef31. :-(
