Boom Goes the Dynamite and the Infrared

I made a mistake. As I was feeding my African Bullfrogs, I put their heat lamp on the screen lid of another tank. I didn't realize that the occasional spray from the filter would cause the lamp to explode. Please, be careful. No creatures were harmed.

We have so many electrical cords, wires , water, plants, plugs, timers, etc, with all our frog stuff !

It happens. I have gone through way to many of these darn $20-40 bulbs.

Have a 5"x5" circle burnt in the carpet from the cat knocking a light over from one of our tanks about a year ago. Thought it was cute that she would cuddle the light for warmth up until that point.

now we always have the lights secured, and try to keep her away.

lol I have to suspend all the lights from the ceiling . Why you ask?? One of cat chews on the electrical cords. Yikes !!
They love to get under the big light over my tortoise table .
So, now I use surge protectors, electrical tape, and big hooks to hold everything up out of his reach. Fun, Fun

I'm always nocking the light fixtures over and down ,finished.

I would like to secure my lights too the lid top, i was thinking drill a small hole and use a zip tie. Any other ideas to do it?
