Hi, I recently caught 2 PCF's and i have crickets, flightless fruit flies and mini meal worms.. i try to feed them 2 crickets every other day. Should i also add in the fruit flies with the crickets and then on the off day maybe a meal worm as a snack? These are my first frogs but i think im going good with them so far. I'll have some pictures up soon also!
I've never fed my PCF's meal worms, so I don't have advice on that. But, you can try shaking a few fruit flies in there and see if they want them. I have noticed that mine are picky now. As they have grown and matured they have quit wanting the fruit flies and only go for the crickets. Be sure to get a calcium powder to dust the crickets with.
I look forward to seeing your pictures.
So these are my two Pacific Chorus Frogs i have. The First one is named frogger (even though shes a female). The other one is named Lilly. They seem to be pretty happy in there.. The temp stays around 70F. The humidity is about 70 also. I've been trying to feed them 3 crickets each every other day with fruit flies on the off days. does that seem like a good eating schedule?
Cute! I would think that three crickets every other day should be plenty. They certainly look healthy. I've noticed my frogs are getting chubby so I have cut back to feeding every other day too.
