Hello!!
I would like help to identify one of my frogs.
A while back I bought what I thought was a Hyla Cinera - American Green Tree Frog.
But I am not so sure, first of it's brown, again I am no expert so I dont know if it comes in that color to.
But now this week I bought another pair Hyla Cinerea from a different seller and they were green like I recognize from all pictures I have seen.
Also I have noticed they have different sounds when they call.
I have enclosed two pictures and I would be very grateful for all help I can get.
Thanks
Definitely not Hyla cinerea? I am sure what it is though. Hopefully someone with a better eye for exotic tree frogs will chime in. My guess is Hyperolius or Leptopelis, but I wouldn't rule out Eleutherodactylus.

Thanks for your quick answer.
I am at a loss here, thanks to you I have a bit more to go on.
It would be great to find out which type of frog I have since it clearly is not Hyla Cinerera.
But when it comes to behaviour from what I have read of tree frogs its very much alike, Sleeping high up on leaves most of the day
active during late evening and night.
I was wondering a bit when I bought it and had my doubts and the Zoo seller did not know more or the distributor
for that matter. I always try to buy captive bred when I buy amphibians and reptiles but in this case
in our country there dont seem to be anyone breeding Hyla Cinerea or other tree frogs.
Again I am thankful for any clues to what kind of frog this is.
About the breeder-part:
There are indeed very few tree frog breeders here, but just so you know I'll start breeding attempts on my red eyes soon. So there are some (soon to be) breeders
Could it be (Litoria ewingii), also known as the Whistling Tree Frog ?

Hello Lynn,
When I was looking at pictures of Litoria ewingii it was very much alike so it could be.
Thanks for your great suggestion

Hello Martin,
That sounds awesome I will be trying as well on my Hyla Cinereas this coming spring.
Keep me updated please on your progress, I would be interested if you are selling your red eye offspring in the near future.
