I havent put anything on my frog tank walls, but it's interesting behind the tank on the wall there is a painting of a landscape, and my frog aways positions himself so he is looking in that direction. Sometimes he climbs on that side of the tank , so maybe he thinks the picture is real..I was thinking of putting mirrors on the sides and back of the tank- but how would my Pacman react to his own relection? Any ideas? Should I keep the tank walls bare, or give my frog something interesting to stare at?
He may get aggressive with his own reflection & become stressed. I would suggest placing a scenic aquarium backing on the sides as well as the back......or even some dark cloth on the back & sides (keep an eye on him with this one because if he sees nothing but his reflection, again it may stress him).
You might want to consider an aquarium background - there are even tropical rainforest plant ones.

I've just ordered one of those for my Pac's tank. Until it arrives I've been using dark card on the outside and fake plants inside that he can hide in and feel secure.
You can also buy fake plants that have sucktion cups that you can stick on the insid walls.
Our Pacs always....and I DO mean always........tear up, up-root & pretty much destroy any plants we place in their enclosures.
We have decided to just give them enough substrate to let them dig in to feel secure. The only time we have anything resembling stress now is when we are breeding and the lone males decide they are Australian and want to go Walk-About to get some nookie.
other than those times, they burrow in during the day and come out in the evening to get fed.
Good Luck!!
What kind of frog is your current picture, Ivory Reptiles? I really like the way it looks, especially the "horns" over its eyes.
