just starting testing my drip wall and the coloring of the substrate is bleeding out into my water. i have a thin layer of coco husk and then about 3in of eco earth. im looking for a way to clean up the water without having to install an external filter. would i be able to soak a reg carbon fish filter for a day or so to absorb the coloring? any help is much appreciated
i may be able to post a picture a little later

I think the most efficient way of clearing it up will be an powered filter either internal or external, now please be advise that since the water is running through your substrate that there still will be some tannis.
anyone recommend an in tank filter that's small? maybe an under gravel filter
