Yay or nay? Recommend or stay away? I keep hearing mixed reviews on sphagnum moss from several sources. Some say it's good because it helps maintain humidity levels and also makes the frog feel more at home. Others say to avoid it due to the Pacman's eating habits.
What do y'all say? I re-did mine's set up today. Last time he had moss in his tank, but I made sure he was away from it during feeding. This time, I thought I would wait to put it in after I got some insight from the informative Pacman owners on this site! I bought some SM at Lowe's for $3.81. it's MosserLee's and organic.
I would say to stay away from it just to be safe
One of the first things I learned about frogs... Aggressive eaters = no sphagnum moss. That being said, if you do something like bowl feeding and can keep the moss away from it, I don't think it would hurt.
2.0.3 Hyla versicolor "Eastern Gray Tree Frogs"
2.2.0 Agalychnis callidryas "Red Eyed Tree Frogs"
0.0.3 Dendrobates auratus "Turquoise and Bronze"
0.0.1 Anaxyrus fowleri "Fowler's Toad"
Spaghum moss are great, IF you are sure the frogs won't eat it, like Amy said.
Yes spangum moss is good easy to clean especially if you have a lot of pacs or pixie
