In a terrarium you do not have to feed the spring tails. In cultures I usually feed them live yeast.
No problem. I always have lots of springtails and isopods.
It does not matter at all. I raise my fruit flies in a closed aquarium cabinet.
night crawlers are tough to raise. I raise belgian earthworms and feed them vegetable scraps in canadian peat. If you want to raise worms do belgians or red wigglers.
You can raise fruit flies in the dark.
