    Re: Lighting questions

Michel’s symptoms were weakness especially in his back legs, rubbery bones, reduced appetite, and jaw hanging open. My light is working well and it doesn’t throw heat so I definitely suggest it. Yes,...

Re: Gray tree frog not eating...

Since he’s only been in the new setup for about a week, I’d give him a little more time to acclimate. Moving him back at this point may stress him out.

  5. Re: Emergency! Sick American Toad... IDK whatís wrong!

I’m so sorry. thats a scary situation. Yes half burying is a good idea. Warm baths may help with temp if nothing else. Pedialyte is good to add. Force/syringe feeding is alright if necessary and in...

I’m so sorry.... it’s always so hard to lose one especially since he was so special:(
  11. Re: Has anyone stopped feeding their pacman insects

I don’t think it would be a good idea to stop feeding them insects. Why do you ask? Are you planning on that? What is your alternative?

Re: HELP IS TOAD SICK? Photos included

Hmm... I definitely know that feeling of not being able to take them. It may be a parasite so if you can get your hands on some dewormers from a pet store that might help. I would also heat up some...
  13. Re: Quick Clarifications? (Signs of illness? Is UV lighting needed?)

I’m not absolutely certain about the UV debate, but if possible I would add a UV light just to be safe. The sluggishness and reduced appetite may be due to early MBD.

Re: HELP IS TOAD SICK? Photos included

Sounds like she’s got some sort of intestinal problem, and since prey animals don’t show symptoms unless they’re very sick I’d take her to the vet.

  16. Re: Sick and swollen Oriental fire bellied toad

Awesome to see some improvement!! Going to the vet was the right decision. Fingers are crossed that this toad will make a full recovery. frogsmile

  18. Re: Sick and swollen Oriental fire bellied toad

No idea what is going on but my recommendation is taking them to a vet immediately. That sounds miserable :( Especially since you have always taken good care of them.

Re: Refusal to Eat Dusted Crickets?

Maybe try a liquid supplement or gut loading with the supplement itself?

Not sure what that morph is called(if it’s not a normal) but that’s a gorgeous frog!

Re: Toads and frogs humudity level control
