Re: Why did my American toadlets die?

I second starvation. I'm not an expert, but my froglets ate 20 or so fruit flies each, every single day, until they were big enough for crickets.

Re: Care for a baby gray tree frog?

At this stage they don't need very much space. You currently have them in an 11 gallon tall tank but because toads are terrestrial they're going to need more ground space versus height, I'd suggest a...

Re: Care for a baby gray tree frog?

Majority are green, but they are sometimes gray. Tree frogs are arboreal, they like to be as high as possible and will "suction" themselves to the enclosure walls. As they age, gray tree frogs become...

Re: Care for a baby gray tree frog?

The photos are a bit blurry, but I've raised gray tree frogs from the tadpole stage. Yours don't seem to have toe pads which are characteristic of tree frogs. Do your frogs climb the glass walls of...

Re: Are these green tree frogs?

They're both so cute! Yes, they're Australian green tree frogs, also known as White's or dumpy tree frogs. I believe the spotted one is considered a "snowflake" type. Eye dilation will change.

Re: Care for a baby gray tree frog?

These are toadlets (they look to be American toads), not tree frogs, so you'll need to adjust your husbandry for such.

    Here's a couple of caresheets:...
  8. Re: Help! My frog's suction cup came off and is bleeding a bit!!

One of my grey tree frogs lost a toe pad, it healed on its own and although I know they don't regenerate, he did form a stubby faux toe pad. I do suggest switching to wet paper towels as a substrate...

Re: Please help identify this frog

I'm not sure what kind of frog it is, but I do know from the shape, bone structure, and lack of toe pads that this is a true frog of some sort and therefore completely incompatible with any kind of...

    Re: Need help feeding froglets

Don't feed the frogs anything bigger than the space between their eyes, ideally fruit flies. I saw that you have 80 tadpoles/16 morphed frogs, if you don't intend to keep all of them you need to let...

Re: Question about coco husk substrate

At this stage I recommend using moist unprinted paper towels to avoid swallowing of substrate and bacterial growth, but you'll need to change them regularly. Rocks aren't recommended for frogs...

I'm pretty sure they're mosquito larvae.

Re: Gray Tree Frog Advice needed

I tried to reply earlier but it said my post needed to be approved by a moderator - trying again and hoping this doesn't end up as a double post.

Congrats on your new fish! I had a betta named...

Re: Gray Tree Frog Advice needed

Our experiences have been so coincidentally similar it's funny! I saw in your other thread you had an escapee get covered in cat hair - that happened with Luna while still a froglet, found her...

Re: Gray Tree Frog Advice needed

Hi! Seems we're in almost identical boats - I also have 3 baby grays (although I'm not totally convinced they're not bird-voiced tree frogs...) who are 3 weeks and 2 days post tail resorption that I...
