But unless you've got an airtight enclosure the oxygen in the tank will just diffuse into the room and vice versa. I highly doubt the oxygen content in your enclosure will be significantly higher...
Beautiful frog!

I see the same in my frogs. The boys, especially one of them, have far more dilated pupils then my female. I don't think it's a problem though, the female normally seems aware of the surroundings and...
I think quite a few frogs could work for you. Do consider though that frogs absorb all kinds of agents trough their skin, so handling should be restricted to a bare minimum.
White's tree frogs...
Well, there's ventilation, one tank has about 1/3 the other has 1/2 of the top as ventilation.
There's ventilation on the front as well.
One tube above the tanks you mean? Right now the top is covered with glass. I would have to remove this.
But basically, you're saying there's now way to use a one light solution.

I've been keeping my WTF's in two tanks of 40 x 40 x 70 cm. I supply them with vitamin D3 through feeding.
I've been thinking of adding UV-lighting in my tanks, but I'm wondering what the best...
I find it quite easy to make White's Tree Frogs gain weight. Earthworms, crickets, they all work if the temperature in your vivarium is ok.
What is the temperature in your vivarium? Because my...
I adopted a White's Tree Frog with a damaged hind leg. When I got it last week the frog was dark and lethargic and the hind leg was red and bloody. I went to the vet and the frog is now on...
How's your frog doing now?
Quite sure the frog does eat now. It definitely doesn't soak an exteme amount of time. Frog does seem somewhat shy. During the day they're just lazy... They'll rather wait to eat during the night.
Since last week I own two WTFs. One of them eats quite happily but the other doesn't seem that interested in food. I've seen it eat two crickets on the first day, but I cannot confirm any other...
Personally, I agree. Although in some animals a discolouration could be caused by aggression.
Sometimes I have no explanation for a colour change, with the WTF's I've worked with at work it...
It could have to do with temperature. Many frogs turn a darker shade when they're (too) cold, although it could also be a sign of disease, diminished well-being or a change in emotional state.

In this thread Americans and Canadians recommend blankets, hot water (if gas is still available) and heat packs.
I'm glad the Netherlands have a temperate sea climate and blackouts are very rare...
Does the tank have lights?
I was thinking an UPS would be the solution too, but in my calculations I run short. UPS's are meant to give a pc user the time to save data and shut down during a blackout and as far as I know, the...
What's its feeding condition at this point? Do you know if it fed at the store?
What's the temperature in the terrarium?
That depends on the plants you want to grow. There's little to no nutrition in the bottom and if I'm not mistaking sphaghnum moss will give a slightly acidic soil.
Choose your plants accordingly...
Is it possible for the toad to eat out of sight?
Even by hosting I can't seem to upload a profile photo though.
Thanks for your reply. You say you'd need more dubias if you'd want to use them as a primary food source. How many is more in this case? How big would a container/dubia colony need to be to feed two...
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll see if I can find a copy of AVS Tree Frogs at a reasonable price.
Concerning UV(B, or any at all) I hear a lot of contradictionary opinions, none of which seem...
Hi,
My name is Michiel and I'm a biology teacher from the Netherlands. I'm in the process of buying and setting up a vivarium for White's Tree Frogs. I also have an interest in botany so I'm...
