Re: PA Woods and Forests Storyline

Good luck with your hibernation, also I'm interested in your White's group.
  2. Re: Whites Tree Frog infected fat pad after wound?

I think generic antibiotic should be okay if there are no painkillers in it.

Re: Toads and frogs humudity level control

I wouldn't recommend housing them together because some toads have more toxins than frogs and if they sit on each other for long over a period of time there's a chance one could make the other sick....

Re: New bump on my Dumpy?

It might be an abrasion from something in the tank. That's a best case thing and it kind of looks like a scrape or cut. Some parasitic worms leave bumps and maybe either they're not all out yet or...

Re: Froglets don't have an appetite?

Hey this is really late for a reply but maybe other people will be able to benefit. From everything I've heard froglets can be pretty delicate. Also how old are they? I understand froglets don't need...

Hey and welcome. I haven't seen many waxy owners here, I'm sure they'll also be happy to see more around.

    Humidity holding paper towel alternatives

My frogs have had an ongoing infection of trematodes, which the vet said are almost never entirely gotten rid of. I had to dismantle my whole vivarium and change it to paper towels for easier regular...

    Return!

Hey, I seem to be able to use this forum now. I don't know what happened, but I couldn't use it for a couple years.

    Weird, huh?

    Re: Diseases and Vet trips

The vet diagnosed my two white's tree frogs with nematodes after they stopped eating. Since then I've given them two rounds of medication and kept them in separate frequently cleaned hospital tanks. ...

    Re: Approximate Age? WTF

For all I know frogs may grow at different rates but he was definitely over 6 months.

Females can make noise, but yes, calling every night is the sign of a male. If his throat gets dark (er) from...

    Re: Diseases and Vet trips

I will keep that in mind. My own frog has some ongoing issues I'm seeing a vet about so it might take a while to get results to post.

    Re: Habitat Upgrade WTF

Yes, tree frogs may be small, but they like to cover a lot of ground and make big jumps.

    Re: Housing/Breeding Question WTF

I don't think we can know 100% how a frog feels, but they aren't social animals in the wild (except at breeding time) and I don't think they really have the brain structure for bonding with others so...

Re: Baby bullfrog won't eat! Please help!

To treat constipation, you should try putting him in a warm (not hot! check with a thermometer) bath. Adding sugar or a drop of honey can stimulate him to poop without hurting him.

    Re: Hello from Mississippi

Hey and welcome. I don't know if there are any people, but you could ask around in the True Frogs section. I understand Bullfrogs are especially jumpy (heh) but many people keep them as pets.

    Re: Green Tree Frog Missing

Good! I was about to say that frogs are very good at hiding and being motionless and unless one frog is bigger than the other, it's unlikely he was eaten by a tankmate

    Re: Advice injured frog
