Re: American Toads-- solitary or communal?

Personally I've noticed my toads have had a stronger feeding response when kept together as opposed to being kept alone, and are less prone to shyness. I have a big flat rock I drop their food on and...

    Re: Breviceps mossambicus enclosure setup...

I was just coming here to make this same post. They're very appealing frogs but I've never seen any care guides or videos [aside from a few videos in Japanese]

Re: What morph is my pac?

Wowow thank you! I named him Zombocom and have just been calling him 'he' for now. The dude I got him from confirmed that he did have him for a year. He's a great little frog.

    What morph is my pac?

Hi guys, I recently grabbed this pac off Craigslist, I wasn't intending on getting another frog but he was nearby and being kept on aquarium gravel so I took him home. I don't know much about pac man...
  9. Re: American Toad is constantly eating substrate and becoming impacted, what to do?

Maybe paper towels would work, like one would do for a quarantine setup? Its not pretty and you'd have to replace it often for mold but everything else sounds too edible.

    EDIT: okay clearly my...

    Re: unexpected death- need advice

He had a little led light, just enough to give him a day/night cycle. Also I'm not sure how old he was. I got him from my local Petco which is very nice in comparison to most Petcos, he'd been there...

    unexpected death- need advice

So I lost my tomato frog last night. I just need help figuring out what did it because there were no signs whatsoever, the most upsetting thing is having no idea what caused it. Wondered if anyone...

Re: Mudball and Snowball update and question:

I've noticed the same thing with my toadlets. I have one that's grown so large I had to separate him while the other two are still relatively small, but I have noticed the small ones have grown at...

tubs make very nice setups too, for example the clear ones that are used for storage. they're very affordable and easily modified to provide air flow, typically hold humidity better than aquariums,...

He seems a little pale for a toadpole, at least in my experience?? All the ones I've seen nearby have remained very very dark even after growing legs. Like never any lighter than a blackish olive...

not totally sure of the species either, but toads in general prefer room temperature or cooler environments, they can tolerate warmer ones but they don't really enjoy them. I wouldn't bother with the...

    Re: Can someone please identify?

That's a cane toad. They are very poisonous if their toxins [secreted from the two lumps on their back/neck] are consumed. Just keep an eye on your pets to make sure they don't lick or chomp on them,...
