They're getting more beautiful everytime!
These are CB and they can cost you 250 to even 350 Euro's. WC animals are cheaper, but I believe these guys aren't exported out of Malaysia anymore.
The females are the most beautiful, but I think this male deserves to be on the internet as well:

Alllas. I had no luck. Better luck next time.
Allas the eggs turned out to be unfertile. Luckily for me she's got eggs again. Hopefully they're fertile this time:

My gf took this picture yesterday.

Last autumn there was a fellow keeper who didn't want his animals anymore so we bought them from him. We fed them well and they stayed in the newt and salamander room this winter, where they...
Allas. They don't like the smaller nymphs either, but there's hope though. One of the humboldtis ate one. I'm also glad that there are a lot of males in my culture now. I'm feeding them to my tigers.
Thought it would be fun to take pictures of the development of our B.orientalis toadlets. As I'm more used to salamander and newt larvae I find the growing rate of these buggers to be very high.
...
The problem is that they do capture the roaches, but they let them go. The Gasthothecas are fed with tweezers and the humboldtis immidiately attack once food items are put in their enclosure.
That's good to hear. Started with a Dubia colony hoping that a lot of my animals would love them. Untill now my 5 tigersalamander and my Pacman are accepting them. The others don't like them, which...
Thanks for the tip. I believe that most of the nymphs aren't big enough to sex them properly like you said and I've got enough roaches in all sizes. I guess that I've got more than 500 roaches in...
Thanks! I think I'm not patience enough.
I'm breeding Dubia roaches for a couple of months and I must say it's a succes. Man do these animals produce a lot of offspring. There's one problem though. Today I've counted only 7 adult males and...
Two males, one female. Really nice frogs!
1.1.1 means 1 male, 1 female, 1 unsexed animal
Thanks!
Finished the tank, but the ground part is temporary. At this moment our hosii's are using it, but eventueally the Rhinella's will move in. The orange pot is also temporary, because I didn't know...
Allready saw them of course, but that doens't mean that I can't tell you how great your toad are for a second time. ;) Nice to see you here as well!
I'm really glad with our new animals. CB 2010:

Couldn't help myself starting a new tank for my R.humboldti. It's a Exo-Terra terrarium (40x40x40cm) and I'm using the same method. Except now I'm using the sides as well. ...
Today I've noticed that the back of the female is "swollen". I've seen this on pictures with other G.riobamba females, who were carrying eggs in the pouch on their backs. Normally their backs are...
A week ago we introduced a new female to our 2.1 group. We were allready increasing the humidity, but it had little effect on the very large female. The new female's a bit smaller, but as they get...
Newts and salamanders living in the wild have access to caves, holes in the ground and cool (running) water when temperatures get too high. This isn't possible in an avarage tank.
I'm keeping N.v.viridescens and M.klappenbachi. I'm breeding Easterns as well. I guess it should be possible to keep them in one enclosure, but you'll need to figure out how you can manage to keep...
