I have been keeping clawed frogs for years, stopped twice (I always had Xenopus laevis) but I always fall in love with them again when I see them. And this time I bought a species I have never seen...
It looks to be going fine. I was also thinking on putting a Epalzeorhynchos bicolor in my tank.
Wow, never seen this species before. Cool toads. Is the last photo a female with eggs on her back?
Good setup, like the natural look. I bought a new piece of redwood.

Vallisneria spiralis varia tiger is a good looking plant, and grows well in cold and in hot water.
Amazone swords are good hiding spots for your frogs.62107
They donīt eat them and even if they do, the snails are small so the frogs wonīt choke in them.
Donīt know what kind of snails they are, but they do a great job of eating algae. Need to put some in my small tank.
The frogs donīt eat them. I think my axolotls do.

Nice tank. Is the LED good for your plant growth? I am considering on buying it too, if it already exists in Belgium.
7 years, not bad. I think they can live up to 15 years. With a friend of me I have a frog that is about 8 or 9 years now, still looking good :)

I had 2 frogs and 1 axolotl that grew up in the same tank. But after a while the axolotl started to get much bigger then the frogs. Never had any problems. But when you add them as adults they will...
It is 100x30x40cm I think. This was my South-American fishtank, added some plants and the frogs. Gave the fish away. There are about 5 endler guppys in there.
My tank.

An update, sold the wildtypes and now I am planning to keep 1 couple of the reticulated ones, I think they are 2 females and 2 males. The wildtype I bought is a male.
Photos:...
Indeed quite strange that the little one doesnīt get eaten by the big ones. He is an albino and not a reticulated as far as I can see.
Nice to see some wild Clawed frogs, how are they doing right now? And where do Xenopus laevis live in the wild? I would love to write an article about Xenopus laevis, about breeding them, taking care...
Hallo
Ik heb nog 6 klauwkikkers teveel van eigen kweek.
Het zijn wildkleur dieren die komen uit een albino man en een wildkleur vrouw.
Ze zijn ongeveer een 5 cm groot.
2 euro het stuk.
Af...
I have good and bad news.
The bad news: the white ones are not leucistics.
The good news: they are reticulated albinos.
My reticulated albino is back in my tank, traded her for 1 of my wildtype females.
Now lets hope she breeds. I think she is about 7 years old.
Albino means they have no pigment, the red is just the blood you see through the cells.
