Also I checked on the tads this morning. More have their front limbs now and the green is showing on their backs.
I finished up their temp tank last night. 24x18x18 Exo-terra.
Shallow tray with treated tap water, blackwater extract, some Java moss and duck weed. I have a hanging Exo-terra fake plant in...
Thanks guys. I want to move them out of the aquarium tank because I don't have a top cover. Ideally when the emerge from the water I would like them to be in the temporary tank while they finish...

Anybody? Anybody?
This is what stage their hind legs are at. Hopefully you can see it.
How long do I have before I need to setup a tank for the froglets when they climb out?
Some of the tads are developing faster than others. Some don't have hind legs. What should I do in this...
No deaths since water change. Thanks Diver!
Nope and yes.
Diver, what should my setup be when the tads have spawned limbs and are ready to climb out of the water? I'm going to need to prepare that tank soon.
Did a partial water change, about half, with treated tap water (ZooMed reptisafe), last night when I got home from work. Less than 24hrs (this morning, leaving for work) and I notice the tads more...
Will do.

This is what they looked like 3 weeks ago. The color is not true tho. Took it with my phone.
How often do you feed?
No they do not. Hmmm. Under developing?
I was advised to use either distilled, RO or treated tap. No reason other than that.
I have about 40 RETF tadpoles in a rearing tank at the moment. They are about 4 weeks old now. Seem pretty healthy. Growing, eating, swimming.
The past week, however, I've started getting deaths...
Sorry for your loss. Did he stop eating?
How did he die?
UPDATE
This second attempt is more successful. I yielded about 40 healthy tads. I am a little over 3 weeks in from hatching. They are in a tank filled with distilled water treated with blackwater...
My options are:
Coco husk
Tree fern fiber
Coco fiber
Other recommendations are welcome.
What would they climb on?
My emoticons aren't working [emoji30]
Wow. Tough room.
That's too bad. I guess I'll still do the other method.
Do they over shoot the jump and smash into the glass like birds into a skyscraper?
How long did it take for them to get trained in this feeding manner?
Awesome thanks. I will have springtails and Isopods in there as well. If they feed off decaying matter as well, that is perfect then.
