Unfortunately I had to release the toad today. My parents basically told me I had to release it today, and when I mentioned the vet, they got mad at me, saying that 'it was only a toad' and that 'I...
Yesterday my sister found a wild American Toad with a puncture wound on its side. She brought it inside and placed it in a secure container with water and some soil, until I could come home and take...
Her tank has been pretty steady at the 76-78 degrees F. She's been eating like a pig since I last posted, so she's back to normal.
Good news, she ate about 15 food pellets and some blood worms today.
According to my mom she's been eating a bit. She may have lost a bit of weight but she's still swimming about her tank and acting pretty much normal.
Ok, thanks for the reply. I'll keep an eye on her, but so far she has acting normal, swimming about the tank and chilling in her tank decorations.
I have an afc who suddenly stopped gobbling down all her food a week before Christmas. She'll act like she's starving and shoves food into her mouth, but then spits it out, shoves it in her mouth,...
I have a White's Dumpy Tree frog whose tank I want to clean while I'm home for break. I have a solution of frog safe cleaner from the store, but it doesn't do very well when it comes to the dried...
Update: I've scheduled a visit with the vet for tomorrow morning. Shahar is still doing well, she gobbled down three crickets and was climbing all over my hands. I found that the fake vines that were...
Today I took my White's Dumpy TreeFrog out of her enclosure to feed her, when I noticed that her middle toe on her back left foot was missing. I've been at college for the last two weeks and she had...
I would separate them. It's advised to not house individuals of separate species in the same tank, especially with amphibians, since the skin secretions of one species can be toxic to another. I'm...
My mom was wondering if it would be okay to put snails in a tank with a ACF in order to eat away any algae and such, or would my ACF eat them?
Hello. I currently have an ACF in a ten gallon tank. A few weeks ago my teacher got a gold fish from a student (who was carrying the poor thing in a plastic bag all over the school) The gold fish,...
I moved everything around in the tank to open up some hiding areas. Also I think I will get the water tested today.
Ok, I will look into that when I go to the store today.
Here's an update. I have the filter turned back on. Both yesterday and today she ate some pellets that I dropped into the tank. (Though a lot of the pellets ended up in between the pebbles) As for...
How can I crank up the heat? Right now she is in an 18 by 18 by 24 enclosure and I have the heating lamps sitting on the top. Could I angle the lights through the side of the enclosure?
Sorry but I am unable to get a better photo. My camera doesn't want to focus and she just won't hold still. (Is this normal for an ACF? Are they really active?)
According to the box, I have a Top...
Right now the temperature in the tank is about 70 degrees F. I hope that she eats soon, though she doesn't appear to be sick. I wonder how long they can go without eating?
I will look into getting a background and snails but I don't think I can fit any more decorations in the tank.
I don't believe that any of the decorations have any rough edges.
As for fish, I...
Ok, and yes the tank is brand new. I just adopted my new girl and set up the tank yesterday, I was up until midnight setting up the tank and making sure the water was the right temperature. The water...
Ok, Here's a picture of the tank and the two spots that I worry she will jump out through.

I almost forgot, here's a picture. Hopefully it helps.

Ok, thanks for replying so soon, though I have one more question,
Is there a way I can make my filter quieter, such as putting a sponge at the end so all the water doesn't cascade into one place....
Hi, I adopted an African Clawed Frog from a family friend on short notice yesterday and today I noticed this small red lump on her clocoa. I'm not if she is prolapsing because I saw her poop after...
