Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure I can get rock fern, so I'll probably try the Boston fern and trim it back when needed, unless someone says it's dangerous for the frog.
How did you know your...
Hi,
I want to add a few live plants to my Northern leopard frog's terrarium. I have a Boston fern. It looks a bit fragile, but I was wondering if it would be safe for the frog. Does anyone know?

Hi,
Someone sent me this picture to confirm whether or not it was a Mink frog.

Hi,
I'll try those things. I found a used handheld bagless vacuum cleaner.
I have my doubts regarding the vinegar because they don't seem attracted to rotting fruit the way fruitflies are, but,...
Hi,
I have a couple of terrariums in my apartment and they've become the home of unwanted flies. I'd like to find a way to get rid of them.... especially since I have a feeling they're slowly...
Can't say much without the picture and I'm not an expert at all in this field, but it sounds to me like it could be a case of red leg disease (for the legs) mixed with the deadly Chytrid fongus...
Hi,
While glancing through a Website describing a nature preserve project and looking at the pictures I thought I noticed a brown Leopard Frog that was miss-identified as a pickerel frog.

I don't think I can find roaches around here.
I give her crickets (and once a week, I dust them with calcium + D3 powder) and every now and then I give her wax worms and (more rarely) the wax worm...
Hi,
I've been trying to switch my gray tree frog from a cricket based diet to a worm based diet, but I can't get her to eat the worms. She's interested and she managed to eat one piece a while...
I don't foresee being able to breed my own feeders in the near future, although free feeders would be awesome.
I found silk worms at my local petshop. Would a diet of crickets and silk worms be...
Hi,
I was wondering how you guys vary your gray tree frogs' diets. I'd like to find something to supplement mine's cricket diet. I don't believe my local petshop carries silk / wax worms and all...
Thanks. I'll keep all of this in mind.
Here are the pictures:

I noted all of this to make myself a reference document in case something like this happens with my next frog.
Thanks again for all of your help

My Northern leopard frog died a couple of days ago and I’m looking for help trying to identify the cause of death so I can avoid a repeat of this, next time.
It was very bloated and it hadn't...
Well...
It just passed away, during my third soaking attempt.
I don't know if it's an indication of the cause of all this, but there was a moderate amount of bloody discharge that seems to have...
Is there any chance a massage, or gentle pressure on its belly, might help?
Granted, it would probably be hard to get this right, what with not knowing if the direction of the intestines is the...
Still no poop.
Next step, I'll keep trying the honey soak but I'll make the following clean soak last a couple of hours. I'll probably use spring water, since I read that helps (although I suspect...
One time did not work. I'm trying again, today.
What if the bloating is from kidney failure. Is there an easy cure for that?
Ok, I'll try that.
Are we talking eyedropper size drops or bigger?
I'm assuming the water should not be too much warmer than ambient room temperature...
Hm... not completely sure if my honey...
My leopard frog is very bloated and it hasn't relieved itself in a long time. It's also shedding right now, so I was wondering if both these things could be related to that. (It's not behaving like a...
Do you remember if the one on the left was actually green or if it just seems that way in the picture?
I think they're the same species, but with different base colors. Everything else seems to be pretty much the same, including the spot pattern and shapes.
I've never seen Leopard frogs with this...
