  1. Re: Help! Abscess and hole on whites treefrog

    Glad he is doing better!
  2. Re: repurposing old fish aquarium for toads

Yes, just make sure the silicone doesn't need to be replaced. As long as you thoroughly rinse the gravel, it should work just fine as a drainage layer. What type of toad do you have, by the way?

  4. Re: One of my fire bellied toads pupils is extremely small

There's definitely something going on there. If his eye has bled, I'd definitely take him to the vet ASAP. A vet may need to remove the eye or give some medication. I don't remember the exact name,...

    Re: Planted toad tank Help

If you want to buy a pothos or ivy from a nursery, you can then take a cutting from the plant and thoroughly rinse it with dechlorinated water. You could probably just throw it in your tank after...
  7. Re: Gray Tree Frog - Hunger strike??? Help Needed!

Is your frog wild caught? This time of year, wild grays typically go into brumation. It seems to just kinda be instinct for them in most causes. CBB grays could possibly have the same issue too I...
  8. Re: Badly wounded frog - What can I do to help him? (Picture attached)

How did he even get in the house? I'd check for any openings in walls and such to make sure this doesn't happen again! I also agree that you should take the little guy to a vet if possible. There...

    Re: Some good terrarium models?

If you want a DIY lid, take some plexiglass and cut it to shape. It won't be too difficult, and it'll help out with humidity without any extra costs.
  10. Re: Baby PacMan in the wrong habitat, help please!

Do you know what brand of substrate you bought? I wouldn't be surprised if you accidentally grabbed coco husk instead of coco fiber, and I wouldn't worry too much if you did that. If he can still...

    Re: Top Fin Element Filter?

I've found that Mainland Penguin filters aren't very loud, but they aren't really the most reliable from my experience. Tetra Reptofilters are also quiet from what I've seen. They really don't work...
  12. Re: 30g community terrarium/paludarium

I've seen anoles and gray tree housed together, but I don't recommend it. I'm guessing its horizontal tank, which in that case you can't have any climbing species. A turtle will probably outgrow the...

    Re: Dubia Roach Heating

I feel like a CHE could be a little risky for trying not to cook your roaches, but you might be able to do so with a thermostat. If you get a CHE, make sure you buy a small one since it'll make...

  17. How Fine Should Charcoal Be in Substrate?

I am wanting to add charcoal to my snake's and frog's substrate, but I'm not sure how fine to make it. I Obviously don't want my animals to inhale it, but i don't want huge chunks either. It'd be...

I am pretty sure it is. I'm 13 so I have to have an adult take me and my parents are part of the PPC Club. I believe you can sign up in store or online.
  19. Dollar Per Gallon Sale at Pet Supplies Plus

I thought it would be helpful to tell members here about this sale. Most tanks up to 29 gallons are a dollar per gallon and some larger tanks are for sale a low prices also. Some tanks listed are not...

    Re: "No" Frog

I do the same as Bynny Ribbit, and also use dish soap. I rinse until I see and smell no residue and then rinse a little more. Never noticed issues with any animals by using these products.
  21. Would hardware store clamp lamp be ok to use with UVB bulb?

I recently got a tiny baby red eared slider form my little sister's friend. She was going to release it and even though it was wild caught and native here I figured he'd be better off if I took him...
