Keeping it separate from your azeureus is better. And sometimes retfs are like that, they dont wake up for 1-2 nights, or move back to the same spot.
I've never had crickets eating the foam. Did you gut load them before putting them in the tank? Maybe you are feeding your frogs too much, they should consume them before the crickets even start...
See my signature for the frogs I am keeping...
I only feed crickets
mine got that too while i was on holiday, and a leg infection. used neosporin without painkillers for a few days in a quarantine bin, and it is okay now after more than a month since i discovered the...
Repashy Supercal LoD (frog on bottle) or MeD (giant gecko on bottle) every other or third feeding
Around once every 3-4 weeks of Repashy Calciumplus LoD (with the chameleon on bottle)
Been doing...
yes, i'm boarding two at the moment. they are so cute, especially when they eat.
I share your pain. I had a milk frog that was sick when I bought it (didn't check properly that it's mouth was a bit deformed too from not enough calcium intake) and had rectal prolapse like every...
Light does not damage their eyes unless prolonged periods of time. Sometimes mine close their eyes immediately, they are pretty sensitive to light.
Cool find. Remember to use dechlorinated water. I think minimum 10 gallon tank would be fine with 18 inch height. Bigger the better though
My first frogs were a trio of RETFS. They aren't that hard to keep especially in HK which is always quite warm and high humidity here. None of mine have died since I got them in 2013.
My other set...
I haven't used any UVB light for my RETFS in the past 4 years.
Feed around 6 every 2-3 days for my 3 RETFS (so around 2 big crickets per frog every feeding no longer than space between eyes). I...
I am getting 3 CB Fringe Tree Frogs soon. I know their care is similar to RETFS with maybe a slightly cooler temperature required. Anything else I should know as they are not common frogs in the pet...
Ok thank you both. Yes I thought about the stitching thing which I read online, I will see if any vets can do that.
As for soft foods, I will get that next time I pass by the pet store....
Hi there,
So one of my milk frogs, I got him as a sub-adult around April or May 2016 and did not check him carefully. I am quite sure he has metabolic bone disease due to the shop's bad...
What is your tank size and substrate?
1. If your frogs are young, you should not keep it in a big tank. Using paper towels is the best. I got mine as adults (around 9-12 months old) and have been...
Can you post a photo of your frog? You may need to upload it on an external site first.
Hi there,
My 4 year old red eyed tree frog has been sleeping really weird recently. Is there something wrong with her?
Her arms are reaching forward past her head and her belly does not stick...
Hi there,
My milk frog (maybe about 6-7 months old) last week started having a leg problem. It looks as if they are paralysed and it has trouble jumping. When I pick it up, the legs will extend...
Hi All,
I got 3 amazon milk frogs (about 5 months old now). I just noticed that one of them's mouth is slightly opened all the time. I checked the selfie pictures I took with it on my phone a few...
so is it hydroballs --> carbon filter/ vinyl screening --> soil?
does coco fibre go on top of soil? do i really need coco fibre
thanks a lot, a bit new to this substrate thing (have had my red...
yes, i have a shallow water bowl for them.
but do i need to wash the hydroballs every once in a while? do i upkeep the substrate by changing the soil only?
Hi there,
I have an unbranded tank with 3 red eyed tree frogs using paper towel substrate. I recently got PT2607 Exoterra (18x18x24inches) tank for my milk frogs and would like to use some more...
Oh thanks. Yes, I saw that section in the forum after I posted.
My second question (about my frogs being scared) is actually regarding my milk frogs too. My red eyed tree frogs are very brave,...
Hi there,
I'm new to this forum. Have had red eyed tree frogs for over 2 years (using paper towel as substrate). I just got some young milk frogs recently and am using paper towels as substrate at...
