those.... are really rare.... in my understanding atleast. I heard they are extremely pricey... like over 200bucks. Why not sell it?

Bamboo rats are pricey still, around 5-600 a pair. They like it a bit cooler than most other rats. I have never been bit by an older one as they are normally pretty docile. If you choose to get rid of it I dont think it will be hard to find a buyer. There are a few bamboo rat locales so make sure you know which this is. Some are even pricier.
I wouldn't be too worried about getting bit, They are pretty harmless snakes bite and all. Infact if it is a nasty one the only way you will get that trait calmed is through regular handling. If you need any info on it get in touch with Pro Exotics in Colorado as they were the first ones to breed them in the US and they are very friendly on helping out. I bought all three trios of mine from them.

I think we were all confused. When you put up "free snake" the first thing that comes to peoples mind is you're giving something away--for free. lol.
