my tadpoles a frog! what do i feed it?

If it still has a bit of tail left, you won't need to worry about feeding it just yet. That tail is being absorbed for sustenance. How soon it needs to feed depends on the species and individual. Some will go after food even before the tail completely disappears; some won't until days after. Either way, it will require live, moving food - no lettuce. As a general rule of thumb, food should be no longer than the width of the frog's head. At this size, I think pinhead to 1/8" crickets, fruit flies and extra small phoenix worms would work.

thanks, the tail is pretty much gone now, and i will get pictures when i can, im still trying to id the frog though

the spots are red more so than brown, i pulled it out of the kalama river here in Washington state as a tadpole, it was all black at first, then developed brown spots, then changed to brown with black spots, and now its green with reddish brown spots, the throat is lighter than any other part, its like white with a hint of blue-greenish, if anyone can help me figure out what it is, or at least narrow it down to a couple options, i'd really appreciate it, thanks
