    Nope. Colombia doesn't have any native newt species. Your little friend isn't an amphibian, he's a reptile. It's a gecko. I'm not sure on the species.

    In Colombia you can find species of the salamander genus Bolitoglossa, but they live in the trees, often at altitude.
