Hey there! You'd asked me about mini palms back in September. (Sorry I haven't logged on since then). Anyway, to answer you question: they get about a foot high with fertile soil. The ones I've bought were usually in the "cheap, indoor plant sections" of stores like home depot. They're pretty common in the Northeast, though I'm not sure of their availability in Colorado. They definitely do better with warmth and high humidity than ambient home conditions; the ones in my tank are growing like mad, and the ones I've got potted around the house kind of sit there, pouting at me, begging me to crank the heat and mist them more often.

    Hi Tom -
Do you ever cach your leaf frogs out and about on any nightly forays in their tank?

Min look in good health and I occasionally see them eat but really their is very little activity! I know they are a sedentary species but I expected a bit of activity?

    Thanks

    Steve

I'm surprised that you never see your leaf frog eat. He must be shy! Mine always eats in front of me. He'll even take from feeding tongs.

My girlfreind made the bridge... she drilled holes in craft sticks and threaded the twine through it. It took her all day and she's not really into frogs.

Hey Tom! To answer your question... yes, they get that big when they are calling. He usually stays this way for a few minutes, then deflates to normal size.
