hello kurt, its been a long while since i was on the forum due to a move and loss of internet, but i am having some difficulties with my whites. Im not sure what is goin on with him but in what seems like overnight or in a day maybe he went from perfectly normal to not so much. he acts as though he is having trouble breething...he often holds his mouth open and makes a small noise the sounds like a hiccup almost. i shined a light in his mouth while he had it open and i could see that there was a bubble over the the opening in his throat. then afterwards when i checked on him again he had coughed up a single drop of what appears to be blood. i saw this only once and not again...now i must admit i have had frogger(my whites) and 7 other frogs for well over a year now...and had trouble only with 1, my pacman which later did die for still unknown reasons. now i have never

I'm going to college soon again. Hopefully I can become a herpetologist.
Hello kurt. Same ol' same ol'?
hello kurt. i have a little story for you. last night i was feeding my frogs, and threw some crickets in with my pacman, and normally when i do he will come up out of the dirt and start hunting, well this time he never moved a muscle. i found that unusal so i reached in and touched him...he still didnt move, so i picked him up and he was extremelt dry and lifleless....naturally i paniced...i put him in his water bowl and and got him good and wet...and saw some skin come loose...i pulled it and realized he was in mid shed but before he could shed his skin it dried on his body...i got all the skin off and hes since been doing fine....i wonder though have you ever heard of this happening before...i almost lost my frog because he was trying to shed. if you can shed any light on this it would be helpful.
hello kurt. i have a couple questions im hoping you can answer. i just obtained 2 bombina orientalis who had to rescued from a girl who had not fed them in about a month. now the first question i have is...is there any way to sex the frogs....and the second is are they really poisonous to the touch...meaning if i touch them am i gonna get a nasty rash as everyone keeps tellin me i will....hope you have answers for me.
Hi Kurt. Your info in the past has been so helpful for my White Lipped tree frog, Alfonso. Unfortunately he is very sick this moring. I found him upside down, leg caught up on a log and whole body very limp. He is still breathing and I have washed him (even a touch of honey in the water to help pep him up)and put him back in his terrarium. His colour has gone from brown to green again but he is still very limp (did not even struggle when I turned him over to have a look at his belly). He did have a bloated tummy a few weeks ago and he rallied after the suggestions you gave back then. I do fear he is dying....and the kids are very sad...is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable. We have no vet in the area who knows what to do/specialise in frogs. Thanks so much Kurt.
