  1. aww thats so cute, I was thinking about getting them when I move out. I dont have anymore room in my room currently so I need more space as it is. All the space is filled with little duudes tank and the frogs tank. (:
  2. A 40 gallon could house about 6 with no problems...for calcium you could also dust the crickets if you get babies to make sure they get enough while growing. But it they do use their calcium bowl....its really cute, reminds me of a "got milk" add because it gets all over their faces! When do you plan to get them???
  3. oh wow, that is so cool! They can determine before conception?

What about their calcium supliment? Is it ok to have just one dish in their with the calcium or individual ones?

Also I have a 40 gal tank that i used to have my bd in but i upgraded to a 60 for her so now i have a random 40 gal with nothing to do..and i love all the diff morphs of leo's and want to start a "heard" lol.
  4. Temps that range from about 80 on the cool side, to 95 under the warm hide is best. You CAN keep multiple leo's together. Males will fight males, but one male and several females works, or all females are okay. Just make sure they each have their own hides on the warm and cool ends. Breeders can decide the sex of their babies by incubating them at certain temperatures so they can be sexed BEFORE birth.
  5. an awesome bit of info you gave me thanks!

What should the cool side of the tanks and the hot side of the tanks temp be? Also it is ok to keep more than one together? I dont think I would get more than one, but they wont fight?
    Thanks. (:
  6. Hey!

Leopard Geckos are good pets. They are nocturnal so they do not require expensive UVB. It is said that you can keep a pair in a 10gallon, but mine would fight over hides in a tank that small. Once upgraded to a 20 gallon they stopped fighting. At one end of the tank you want a under tank heater with a large hide/cave ontop. Near the center of the cage a wet hide. (A hide with moist paper towels or moss to aid in shedding.) Far side of the cage should be kept cool with another hide, a water dish, and a shallow dish of calcium. The best substrate is tile or shelf liner. What I love about leos is that they have a "toilet" area and they go in one big pile...usually on the cool end of the cage. Makes clean up a breeze! Feel free to ask more specific questions if you have them, and be sure to share pics when you get your new leo!!!! Cheers!
