I want to thank you for your picture guide on your build. It is really going to help me for the one I will be starting soon. I saw that you were going to stick moss and see if it will grow. If you dont mind I would like to make an easier suggestion that will get moss to grow where you want it. there is a new crazy in CA called green graffiti. It is really cheap and simple. Take a few handfuls of moss, 2 cups buttermilk, 1/2 tsp sugar and 2 cups of beer. put it in a blender, paint on, and voila! the moss will start to grow wherever you paint it. anything moist and porous will harbor the moss. I have never tried scottish moss but I use the very short dark green moss that you can find at nurseries.
