you need to get rid of fogger, those are for red eyes. Get like 1 real thermom dial, and 2 or 3 strip ones, 1 on basking area, 1 on floor, one u can move around. Read the care sheets and use search engine on this site to fill in gaps. How d are u?

I don't know why my previous thread wouldn't let me edit, I was asking how old are u? I see u r on the forum, wondering if u got temps right and got extra strip thermometer to move around when u need it? I'm typing up on iPhone, spell check sucks, and sometimes my screen flips all over when I type, so I hope u understand typo. Can u show us some Picts of yr setup. Maybe we can get a bunch of people to help. When did u get them?

Got it sorted put heat mat on side of tank . Don't worry about type error I'm using iPad and that can be just as bad especially with predictive text! I'm 38 How do I post picks on here?

Ginger and Lee are the plants in you frog tank real?

Yes, all but 2 r real. even the shelf mushrooms. These mush are eddible( if ur starving) I boiled till soft then dried them. The split leaf philodendon in (frount view) on left is fake and the orchid on top of hollow bamboo is fake, but I don't think I have that in any Picts. The long leaf is a mother-in-laws thounge, twisty bamboo, mini peace lilly, and the other two (forgot names) are real yes. They are all in pots, each has diff moisture requirements, braught up bottom to make level with pots. It's a but over planted but my guys were so terrified. Fine with me, I'm a plant junkie. I plan on planting moss and platts black mini fern for ground cover when spring gets here!! I hate sphagam moss. Just FYI, small pebbles(green) are of dangerous size, do I siliconed them together in clumps. Impaction is very possible with whites, just cure 48 hrs and rinse.

Cool my friend is a florist I recognised some of the plants might go and she if she has any to go in mine. I use floristy moss in mine it lasts longer cos it has roots and looks a lot nicer than the other stuff

I don't think its overplanted...I think it looks good. The more plant coverage you have for them to retreat to the more comfortable they feel about staying out in the open. During the "settling in" process they will be out and looking around their new home. Then after a few days or a week or so...if the tank is sparse and not well planted they will hunker down and not feel comfortable moving around. If the tank is well planted they feel secure in their new home and will spend more time out in the open and they always know a plant is close by for cover. The only time a tank can be over planted is if their is not enough room for the plants to grow up or out. You set it up perfect. All too often you see the opposite. You'll read a post where the person says that when they first got their frog he moved around a lot and now he never comes out at all. Most of the time you'll see a very empty looking setup. You'll notice a lot of the time I will recommend more large leafed plants to new person...because thats what the tree frogs need especially in the beginning. They don't want to sleep on the glass or wedged up on top of the background. They are only doing that because they don't have a better choice in their opinion. They will usually pick the largest leaf they can find..one that has leaves hanging above it for cover. That's why I always tell people watch their behaviors. That will tell you what type of plants they like. If they never climb on a particular plant ask yourself why not. Is it too weak to support their weight. If it is yank it and plant another. Also some species leap from one place to another to move around while others walk from branch to branch. Your tree frogs that walk from branch to branch don't want to have to climb to the ground and then walk over to the next plant because its too far away. The plants need to be interconnected so they can move from plant to plant up high. Just sharing some thoughts and observations. Im not good with plant names so im not the one to ask there. I just look for sturdy large leafed tropical plants.
