Hi everyone, my name is Jenn. I just bought my first whites tree frog, Jade, last week. The first night that I had her, she seemed very active. But since then, all she wants to do is sleep in her hiding spots. The temp and humidity are what they should be, both around 80, her tank is big enough for her size at the current time. She becomes active when I take her out to feed her, but as soon as she goes back in the tank, she burrows under her moss until the next night when I take her out. Also, not to be gross, but her stool is kind of runny from what I have seen. I feed her 2 meal worms every 2 days and dust once a week. Any suggestions? I want to take good care of her! Please help. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks! frogsmile

I'm taking care of a friend's red-eyed tree frog and he's not eating!! I've had him for about 6 days and I don't know if he's eaten at all since I got him. I've put in one or two crickets each night for him to eat, but there's two at least that are always in there uneaten (I can hear them chirp all day). He has pooped once on the glass, and that's all that I've seen. I've never taken care of a frog before and I'm really worried. Usually in the day I take the tank outside to sit in the sun so he can be warm, and bring him in at night (and plug in the space heater on the bottom). I spray the tank with de-chlorinated water 3 times a day like I was told, but the humidity meter never seems to move anyways. The coldest the tank has been is about 70 degrees. He doesn't move around much, and just tonight I moved him to check he was still alive. He's always compact and sleeping whenever I see him. He used to sleep on the glass, but not he hides away on the back of the flower to sleep all day. I've looked online and it says it might be from stress? Is something wrong?? Please help!!

There is this is a pet store in a mall that is keeping a pixie frog in a cricket keeper with about 2 cm of dirt and no water dish. The frog is only about 2-3 inches long and about 3-4 inches wide. Any one in the Burnaby/Vancouver area who has a big heart should check him out. My husband had to basically drag me out of the store...I wanted to buy him and give him an appropriate home. :(

He does not look like he has been there long (which is good) I think there is hope of saving this little guy. PM me if you want the name of the store.

There were also some firebelly toads but they looked beyond saving....
