My albino African Clawed frog is my baby. I love him to death. I think he is male and about 3-4 inches long. I had him in a 3 gallon tank with no filter for about 3 days. The water got rather cloudy, but he seemed to love it, as he could hide and no one could see him. I have since put him in a 5 gallon tank and will add a filter. I dechlorinted and put a little aquarium salt in to fight disease. He is moving all around frantically and looks uncomfortable. But he seems to do that every time I put him in a new tank. He has a very large hiding place that he seems to pay no attention to at the moment. He's just swimming around quickly over and over again. And going up for air. What should I do? I don't want the tank to be dirty or cloudy, but he seems to be more comfortable in that :/

*He looked so miserable that I took him out of the 5 gallon and put him back in the 3 gallon he was in before.

What should I do?

P.S. I'll attach a picture of him just for viewing. If you think he may be a different gender, let me know. I want to breed in the future.

You did something very bad. That type frog is FRESHWATER!! You added SEA SALT!!
DO NOT DO THAT!!!! That is BURNING his skin. NEVER EVER EVER put salt in a freshwater terrarium.
Switch the water with nice new clean water, WITHOUT the salt.
He will be fine if you fix it fast.

    P.S....
To fight disease put "Tetra Black Water" in the water instead of salt. The black water is for tropical fish and provides the acidity they need into the water. The African Clawed Frog doesn't need acidic water. But it will help prevent any bad stuff from affecting your water.
