-- Decided, once again, to go with another tank for the first build. I found a ten gallon for ten bucks earlier this week, so I figure that if I mess this one up it's not going to be that big of a deal.
This weekend I went to Home Depot to get some of my materials. I got:
o-styrofoam board
o-great stuff (for cracks and trim)
o-1" PVC pipe
o-GE Silicone II (brown coloration)
o-fiberglass window screening

-- So last night after I picked up my new acquisition from a craigslist deal, I had a strange suspicion that my tank might be slightly bigger than 40 gallons. After doing some math, turns out it's 50 gallons. This prompted me to reconsider my other tank, the one I bought labeled as a used 30 gallon.

Turns out my 30 is actually a 20. So all-in-all I had a net gain of 0 gallons.
