Last night I was cleaning my little guys water, like I do every night and he was sitting on the side of his tank like he normally does. He began to try and climb and say hi like he normally does too, but he couldn't move he legs and kept slidding down the side. It was so sad to watch. He hasn't moved since last night and I'm beginning to worry, a lot. I don't want to lose another one. He had a sezuire type thing, but recovered. I put him in a honey bath and he began trying to climb again. Does anyone know what's going on or what I could do to help him!?

First of all, you should post this in the actual forum area if you want people to respond to you.

I'm only responding because it breaks my heart to think about this... I had something similar happen with my flying squirrel, Chaquita. I noticed she'd gotten really sluggish, and when I was playing with her she didn't have the ability to jump as far as she used to, and once she even had this shiver-fit.

I looked into it, and she was at the beginning stages of MBD- metabolic bone disease. It's caused by a diffeciency of vitamin D3 and calcium.

I gave her pediasure and put Reptocal on everything I fed her.

    Now she's doing just fine.

I think you're little guys are probably needing vitamin D3 --- Make sure you get a lamp and dust their food with a vitamin supplement. Reptical worked great for me.

Good luck I hope that he makes it.
