For those who don't know I am a 31 year old stay at home mom of 2 beautiful girls age 6 and 3. I am Canadian and proud to say it. I have a golden retriever named Arwen, and an old cranky cat named Skittzo XD. I had always loves animals of the furry kind. Cats, dogs, ferrets, horses. etc. But to ever say I could love a Frog... I never thought possible.

But in Oct 2010 we adopted a Grey tree frog for my daughters birthday. We named him Frodo. He was green when we got him but now stays a grey or brownish shade. Frodo was the beginning of something I never expected. I became fascinated by him and found this site and others and couldn't read enough about Greys (still can't at times). And when he started calling it was so neat, almost more like a bird then a frog lol. Frodo quickly made an impact on me and well my heart. Hes my lil sweet boy lol. He will always be special as he was our first frog. Hes a relatively calm Frog and loves to sit on his perch most of the time, and doesn't like to be bothered usually.

In May 2011 we adopted our second Grey tree Frog, Sam. I usually call her Sammy (now not sure its a female but until Sam calls thats how I feel lol). Sam was smaller than Frodo when we found her. She was also bright green at first but seems to be more mixed usually. We had to weight till she got bigger to put her in Frodo's terrarium not wanting her to become food. Sam right from the start has been very energetic, a lil spastic and unpredictable. She loves her food and always seems hungry, but remains thinner and smaller than Frodo. She likes to attack me when I am trying to feed them or go into clean the water dish, then I cant seem to get her off my hand or arm. You cant go near the terrarium without her watching you or lunging at the glass. She's my lil girl.

Recently in July 2012, we adopted Merry. A larger Grey tree Frog I believe to me female as well... She is even bigger than Frodo. Shes Bright Green and fat and waiting her 30 days in quarantine to be added to her new home. It has been 2 weeks so far and she is eating, (already from forceps/tongs like the others) pooping, bathing, shedding, and moveing and climbing around. Everything seems healthy so far and I cant wait to let her meet Frodo and Sam. I'm sure once she settles into her new home she will have special personality of her own too XD

Adorable group of froggies you have! Great shots of all, especially Sam (looks like such a happy little fellow.) And glad to see another mom in the same stage as me (my boys are going on 6 and 3!)
