Great advice, friendly people, and lots of frogs!
I received African Water Frogs instead of Leopard Frogs. There's 7 of them swimming around in the aquarium the Insect Lore kit provided.
That is odd they sent you different frogs! I'm happy to hear they made it to you safe and sound. When I ordered my tads and received them in the mail they had died. So I never had the chance to watch them grow into frogs!

Yes, The tads did not make it in the mail so I'm not sure what happened it was very disappointing though!
Were you able to see them swimming around the day you got them? We just got ours in the mail and it looked like it was a baggie of water with some dirt/dust in it. The envelope had been ripped open and taped back up so I'm not even sure we have anything in the water.
Hi, girly. Yes, I saw 6 tadpoles swimming around the moment I opened the package. I was so surprised when I saw a 7th pop up like 30 hours later. I couldn't tell there was an unhatched egg mixed in with the water. Mine came in a baggie too, stuffed inside a padded envelope. It sounds kinda fishy that yours was tapped back together, you might have to call and complain--- except insect lore doesn't have an actual contact number. ACFs usually hatch while they're in the mail. However, I've read that sometimes it takes up to 3 days for them to hatch after they are received. Maybe the dirt/dust you're seeing are unhatched eggs. The eggs are ALMOST invisible. Maybe the package just got to you really quickly. Or even if they are late hatching, it doesn't mean they won't be healthy. Luna, my youngest turned out to be one of the biggest and most active. Did you pour the water into the aquarium yet? As soon as I got mine, I put bottled water in the kit's aquarium, let it sit for about an hour so it would be room temperature, and then i let the tadpole baggie float in the water for about an hour so they would get used to the temperature and then i gently poured the contents of the bag in the aquarium. All 7 tads survived and today is their half-birthday!
I called the company that sent them to me, not insect lore, Nasco I think it is called. They said they will send me replacement ones next week. We did go on ahead and place the baggie in the water for an hour or two then dumped it in the water. Nothing has been seen. The fact that the side was cut/ripped open makes me skeptical that anything is even in there. We will see what happens next week when we get the replacements. What was the temperature settings for your water? I have read a few different ones and am not sure which to go by. Thank you for your help. I really want this to work out since my kids have been waiting for what seems like forever to them.
