i work in a pet store and we had 2 tadpoles come in with our feeder fish about the end of November 2011 . I took one home in hopes to raise it into a frog. i started out in a Beta container with a Beta heater cause i was told it would like the warmer water. Last night I was cleaning my little guys water, like I do every night and he was sitting on the side of his tank like he normally does. He began to try and climb and say hi like he normally does too, but he couldn't move he legs and kept slidding down the side. It was so sad to watch. He hasn't moved since last night and I'm beginning to worry, a lot. I don't want to lose another one. He had a sezuire type thing, but recovered. -- Decided, once again, to go with another tank for the first build. I found a ten gallon for ten bucks earlier this week, so I figure that if I mess this one up it's not going to be that big of a deal.
This weekend I went to Home Depot to get some of my materials. I got:
o-styrofoam board
o-great stuff (for cracks and trim)
o-1" PVC pipe
o-GE Silicone II (brown coloration)
o-fiberglass window screening

-- So last night after I picked up my new acquisition from a craigslist deal, I had a strange suspicion that my tank might be slightly bigger than 40 gallons. After doing some math, turns out it's 50 gallons. This prompted me to reconsider my other tank, the one I bought labeled as a used 30 gallon.

Turns out my 30 is actually a 20. So all-in-all I had a net gain of 0 gallons.
