Default Female P terribilis, Colombian tree frog

    Hey all

I am new to these boards and usually hang out in the pacman forums. I recently decided that I'm going to build a large terrarium for 3-4 p terribilis. My issue is the males calling because I work at home and need complete silence. Will a group of all females be okay or is a male required? Also, I had the idea of putting a few Colombian tree frogs in the terrarium that max out at 2 inches svl. Is this a good idea to mix species and can I have a group of female darts? I have no interest in breeding. Thanks!

You could do all females but as far as I understand it some of the girls can call too... although not as loud. But maybe its only in response to the males. Hopefully someone who keeps them will clarify for us shortly. Cobalts can't be heard outside their tank. I have a pair of them on my desk at work. Although they are very territorial so you can only keep them in pairs. But they are very bold and quiet. Do not mix the tree frogs with the darts....they have different environmental requirements. And it will eventually mean doom for one group or both.
