ADF question Hi everyone, new to the site. I have a little African Dwarf Frog, female, used to have two, but the other had Dropsy and passed awayLately she has been swimming around like crazy, a lot more than she used to. I'm wondering if that's just her being happy and playful or maybe there's something wrong?
Re: ADF question Its hard to tell without any more information but generally speaking these animals are social creatures and enjoy each others company and as such are best kept in at least pairs.
Sorry to hear about your other frog, have you figured out what caused the bloating?
Re: ADF question Yeah, I feel bad for her being alone, but she seems quite happy so far. She's in her "Zen" position right now haha. I'm pretty sure that the other frog had Dropsy when I got her because she was already a bit bloated, but I just assumed she was fatter than the other one. (The PetSmart near my house is well-known for their not so great treatment of their animals unfortunately)
