10/20/19 - Took the sawgrass clump here and another one dug up from the compound, along with the Gray Tree Froglets from the tank and put it all into a leaf-filled hole under a line of large Arborvitae, well protected from the elements with weeds grown up underneath. It's an area popular with the local colony of Grays who use the pool cover spring pond for spawning every year. Given their robust health after having been able to feed on the wide variety of insects coming from the water and the island of sawgrass and the flightless fruitflies I added to the tank, they should have a successful winter cycle and be able to hang out around the pool cover spring pond next year. Conditions in and around the hole dug under the Arborvitae grove are absolutely ideal for Gray Tree Frogs and Wood Frogs to winter over.
