Exclamation I need Pixie feeding help

I have only had my frog for about a week. I dont know the age of it, its about 2 inches in length. Since ive had it, its been buried under the soil everyday. Ive feed it twice already. But to feed it, i unburied it myself. It doesnt come up to eat. Ive read that there big eaters so im kind of worried that it doesnt want to come up to eat. Do you think its just his nerves or somethings wrong?

    Thanks Eddie

Temp is 84 and humidity is usually above 60. Maybe I have to much substrate in it. Once it sees the food he eats a lot. It just doesn't come up by himself. How often is yours out and about?

It's possible that it's a tad too warm and he's burrowing to cool off a bit, try dropping down to 80 for a day or two and see what he does. 84 is an ok temp btw, but it is on the warmer side.

Also, if you just got him he may be still adjusting to the new environment and is still a bit scared, give him some time

84 is fine for these frogs they just like to dig and be buried. Ive been tong feeding mine since day one. It will literally bite anything I wiggle in front of its face. Make the substrate more shallow overall so its nose sticks out, but have at least one full hide area.

So my pixie comes up often now. I feed it whenever its up. Ive been trying to push earthworms since ive heard they one of the best things to feed them. it seems to only eat 2-3 worms. Is that enough. it will eat tons of crickets. I just started to farm them in my backyard hopefully he will grow to love them.
