    Default -How about cat food?-

first of all, my pixie croaked tonight, it was the first time i heard sound from him, so exited!

My pixie is 11cm long now, and he still have stripe clearly on its beck, is that normal?

Most important, i have a question: i found my pixie can eat cat food, and it seems he love it. Can i provide it with cat food as secondary main food? did anyone try that or think about that?

    thank u!

Congrats. Yeah, the stripe on the back is normal. Never heard of someone feeding cat food before. They wouldn't really be able to digest cat food as easily if its the dry hard food. What kind of cat food are you using? I feed my roaches cat food which then get eaten by the frog.

Canned cat food can be used for sick and malnurished frogs. The canned kind is easily digested. I wouldn't use it as a secondary staple though.

I have 2 Hermann's Torties and always have a supply of Mazuri Tortoise food on hand. I soak it for a couple of minutes before serving. I don't see why that couldn't be used as a supplemental feed.

Royal is what I used when my big female Palma was sick. it works well and they do seem to like it, but it isn't a staple type food.
