My frog and pics his name is crush

yellow under chin means yess male im new on here too! i have 2 frogs i rescued the one on my profile pic cheeko on my porch he was grey and almost dead then i nursed him back to health and i got him a friend becuz he didnt look happy so i got tiny tim they are now inseprable

He's really cool looking; however, he looks more edulis to me than he does adspersus.

This yellow throat and this kind of central back strip show a dwarf african bullfrog, no doubt.
It is an edulis, not an adpsersus.

awe im kinda upset because i spend like 70$ on him at a repticon and i asked the lady if it was a giant or an dwarf. she got me good. but still hes a monster

Yeah man sorry, its a dwarf (p. edulis). Still a great looking frog; dumb that they lied about it though.

Yes, it's a really nice frog you have.

When I first saw the pictures I definitely thought edulis. I think they are just as neat looking as adspersus. Not as sought after since they don't get as big, but I've been thinking about getting one of these guys.

I feel ya man I bought a pixie at Uncle Bills, a local petshop and was sold as a adspersus and since I didn't really know about there being a dwarf sub so I went ahead and bought it. Paid 60$+ tax for it. They are still a fun frog, mine is even blind in one eye which they refused to discount for him but he was way under weight and needed a home. They burrow a lot more than my pacmans but man when its feeding time they go all hulk.

yea im really upset but hes still a monster! i got him to the point when i open the cage he goes crazy and knows it feeding time. i havent heard him call or anything so im wondering how old he is ive had him for 3 months. no idea how long the people at repticon had him

eh,no matter a dwarf or a giant.
the little guys are all so cute.so long as they are strong and happy,that's enough in my opinion.

Please keep this frog! These types of edulis get verry big. 6-7 inch. Look at the picture of my giant edulis.

These frogs are more active and more agressive than the p. adspersus.

Wow, that is one big edulis Daniel! I hope mine gets that big, is it the same for giants males are larger than female? I've heard mine croak and has quite a bit of yellowing. I've very excited if he gets 6-7". I was disappointed to at the price I paid for mine but he is freaking awesome and wouldn't trade him for a giant, though I have one of those now. He is quite the beast and very very active during feeding unlike my pet rocks.
