Pixies wont eat

edit The male eat one of the hissers. I don't know why it eat the hisser but not the fuzzy.
edit the male threw it up and the hisser was alive

Warm them up. the temp should be 80 or a little higher. Cover 3 sides of each tank with some sort of background. Water should be changed daily. Are you de-chlorinating your frogs water?

Yeah. I use a small filter so I clean it out every few days, so is it still mandatory to change it every day?

Would covering the tank with a background help keep heat?

that is horrible new if he threw something up. in 10 years of keeping frogs I have never had my frogs throw up anything. if they ate it it was gone. I'm suspecting not enough heat or maybe even a parasite.

Well, I fed it and I saw him eat it in his mouth. But I came back later and saw the roach out, so I think he threw it up or spit it out. I'm gonna use a incadscent lightbulb to heat up the tank w/ a fogger so it doesn't try.

oh ok that makes sense. he just spit it out. they are sorta prickly and lots of young frogs don't like em

Make sure the warfare of the bulb is no higher than 50 watts. Also use a lamp with a dimmer switch so you can accurately control the amount of heat and light produced by the bulb.

Okay. I will report back whether it eat this week

It eat, but the male hardly attempts at trying to get the food. He like tries to nip at the food, I wave the food around him, etc, but he will not leave his burrow. I have tried putting him in a different tank just for feeding with no success. He has eaten around 3 though.

Keep trying. Hopefully he will come around. Have you tried a warm de-chlorinated Honey soak? If not you may want to. it will give him a boost of energy. Juat add 4 drops of honey to a luke warm de-chlorinated soak. Water should be no deeper than up to his chin or less.

All natural is best, but as long as its pure honey it is fine.

Okay, thanks! Gonna also buy a large to medium heat pad because it may be possible that the 1 small heatpad isn't enough for the 20 long.

Did the honey thing. It didn't change anything sadly.
But, I recieved my dubia roaches. It went nuts after them. I guess my pixies are picky eaters. Didn't even try going after the nightcrawlers

I would try with crickets...not the best staple food but actually the best attractive for their movement feed response they give.
